CAN YOU PAINT WITH YOUR MIND? The blank slate was where it all began. Blank and cleaned and washed countless times from past attempts to achieve the perfect image. Neither preconceived notion nor line of sight could cling to its surface. The successful attempt for the answer depended on the use of imagination to bring forth the proper colors onto the slate. To be asked again and again, what is perfection? Just how close could one hope to reach knowing that touching was forbidden? Could they ever know, or ever grow, enough to stretch for that which will always be just out of reach? How close should one hope that imagination would bring them to that which they seek? To often thoughts are of what we desire and should be based upon what has been experienced. Attempts to envision what cannot yet be seen may bring more questions than answers and thus confuse the mind. Should the image, the physical, or the reality be of more value than the essence of the mind? Or should they be treated as equal in the pursuit? The future becomes the past with each passing moment. The clock ticks the same for everyone. The alarms are just set differently. The image on the slate slowly formed and became unto a life and a force of itself. Smooth flowing lines and definition of form become unimportant. Almost as a trivial perspective of what had been conceived and searched for. Natural elements began to draw out the truth of the search. What really occurs to bring satisfaction to the being is the acceptance of beauties true presence. Reach deep into the very soul to find tranquility, harmony, and peaceful turmoil, and then rest in the sanctuary of its embrace. Should you find yourself seeking the image ask yourself this. Are you able to draw from your mind onto the slate? Can you blend the colors that you see using those on the palette? Will your preconceived notions fall to the side and allow your eyes to see the blending of needs with desires? If one is not prepared to see the importance of the search then they are doomed to a life of washing the slate clean into eternity. Open your mind and open your heart to the truths that will achieve the goal of a beautiful and full completion of the search. Allowing the eyes to gaze on what matters not what is expected by cultures biddings. Have the right colors appeared before and not been recognized as compatible on the palette? Take pause and reflect on what ends are being sought before mixing the choice of colors. Please be seated. Open your mind and close those butterfly eyes. Dig deep into that person buried within. Compare the things you want, the things you need, and the realities of life. Can you separate what is from what you seek? Now pick up your brush and load your palette with the colors in your life.
